2024 Minutes of the Board Meeting of OOCI
The meeting was called to order at 3:10 PM on 10/9/2024 in Hershey PA by Kenny Roach, President. Gail Koffel, substitute secretary, took the minutes.
Attending the meeting:
Kenny and Charlene Roach, Wayne and Gail Koffel, Dave Tollner (for his wife Betty Tollner) and Ralph Hamilton.
Reading the 2023 Board Minutes
Kenny Roach read the minutes, a motion to accept by Dave Tollner, seconded by Ralph Hamilton.
Updates from Kenny;
* The club currently has 116 members. On the vote to accept the bi-law changes, Kenny has 47 yes votes thus far. A minimum of 58 is needed to accept the changes. The voting info was mailed to all members.
* The club did not rent a tent this year. The cost was $1030. It was decided by Board members that this year’s attendance did not require a large tent. A pop-up was used and worked out fine.
* The club added 11 new members this year.
* Dues for 2025 will be:
$30 for on line only; for print version, $30 for U.S. members, $40 for Canadian members,
and $45 for all other members.
* The insurance went up slightly, not an issue for the club.
* 2025 is an election year for Club officers. Candidates are needed for all positions.
* A Director Emeritus was needed to replace John Martin. The Board appointed Andy Wise and he accepted the position.
A motion to close made by Dave Tollner and seconded by Ralph Hamilton.
